NYSC Orientation Course Commences in Lagos With Morning Meditation
The 2024 Batch “B” Stream I Orientation Course of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has begun, with Prospective Corps Members observing their first Morning Meditation.
The meditation, which marks the official start of the day’s activities, featured anthems, motivational speeches, physical exercises, and religious activities.
In her welcome address, Camp Director Mrs. Oluwakemi Awolola urged the corps members to embrace discipline, respect camp officials, and adhere to rules. She also announced the availability of counselors to support their mental health and emphasized the importance of good hygiene practices.
The Head of Publicity and Protocol, Mrs. Omolola Aladesoun, delivered a motivational thought titled “Clarion Call,” encouraging the corps members to serve the nation with love and loyalty.
The morning’s activities included physical exercises led by physical training instructors and Man “O” War officials, as well as religious activities across different faiths. The corps members were also taught the National Anthem and NYSC anthem.
This development marks the beginning of a three-week journey for the Prospective Corps Members, who will undergo training and orientation to prepare them for their national service.
