NYSC Director to Corps Members: Harness the NYSC Platform for Personal Growth and Success

Ventures Management, NYSC National Directorate Headquarters, Prince Mohammed Momoh, has encouraged 2023 Batch “C” Stream II Orientation Course corps members at the NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja, to use the platform of the service year to position themselves for greatness.

According to Prince Momoh, the service year is a period of adulthood. He said “this is the time you have been praying for, this is adulthood, how well are you going to use the platform provided by the NYSC for greatness?”
Prince Momoh while motivating the corps members in the words of John Maxwell, said “you never change your life until you change what you do daily.” He emphasized that their attitude and habits will determine their growth, insisting that if they must be successful, they must be disciplined, diligent and dedicated. He accentuated that if they want to achieve anything in life, they must pay a prize.

The Director further encouraged them to not envy the success of others or covet the life of successful people as they must have gone through some difficult patches which they are not privy to.
He advised them to stay focused and be ready to face their own difficulties, as their challenges are peculiar and have the tendencies to add values to their lives. While speaking on Skill Acquisition, Prince Momoh urged the corps members to acquire skill, build on what they have been taught in camp and continue with training after camp.
He also urged them to deploy the social media to add value to what they are doing instead of using it for shenanigans.

Meanwhile, the Director has warned the corps members to not form unholy alliances as well as not to engage in unnecessary adventures, stating that the NYSC has rules which guide its operations which corps members must adhere to always.
He advised them to be optimist and think positive of the country if they must attract positivity as negativity attracts negativity. On self development, he encouraged them to commit to reading as it will broaden their horizon, he also urged them to avoid procrastination and be deliberate about success as success is not by luck but through deliberate acts.
As part of the Director’s visit, corps members of Man ‘O’ War, martial arts, dance troupe and cheerleaders were on ground to entertain the Visitor to the camp.
