NYSC DG Urges Corps Members To Accept Posting in Good Faith

The Director General, National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General YD Ahmed has implored Corps Members to accept postings to the different communities and various places of primary assignments in good faith and quickly settle down to the task of nation building and development in their respective places of primary Assignment.
“Accept your postings in good faith and resist the temptation to seek reposting. Begin to make meaningful impact as you have been trained to do.
Focus on making positive contributions in your host communities and serve as exemplary ambassadors of your families, the NYSC and the nation at large”, he said.
He added that their impactful contributions to the development of their host communities would perpetuate the continued relevance of the Scheme.
While assuring the Corps Members that his administration places high premium on their security and welfare, the Director General charged the Corps Members to do their own part in safe-guarding themselves by adhering to basic security measures.
He strongly advised them against embarking on any youthful adventure that could expose them to danger.
General Ahmed stated this while speaking to the press at the Closing Ceremony of the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course at the Magaji Dan Yamusa NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Keffi, Nasarawa State.
The NYSC Chief Executive Officer added that all Corps Members are expected to offer selfless services as patriotic citizens and models to the teaming youths of Nigeria during the service year.
“As you embark on your one year national service, l urge you to approach it with humility and a spirit of selflessness”, he added.
