Nwanchor Inaugurates Town Union Presidents in Ebonyi 

The Special Assistant to Ebonyi State Governor on Community Engagement, Chief Nwanchor Paulinus Maduabuchi, has inaugurated the Association of Ebonyi State Town Union Presidents new executives, representing 151 autonomous communities. 

The association’s new leadership is committed to serving the communities and maintaining harmonious relationships with traditional rulers.

Addressing new leadership in Abakaliki on Thursday, Chief Nwanchor emphasized the importance of community service during the inauguration ceremony. 

The current administration’s achievements, particularly under Governor His Excellency Rt Hon Prince Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, were also acknowledged.

Some of the notable projects implemented by Governor Nwifuru’s administration include duplex bungalows and 2km concrete pavements for traditional rulers, overseas scholarships for students, and empowerment programs for farmers, youths, and less privileged individuals.

State Chairman Chief Augustine Akpu thanked Governor Nwifuru for these projects and pledged to work with the state government to enhance security. The new executives also announced plans for community-by-community engagement tours starting in April 2025.

This initiative aligns with the state’s focus on community development, as seen in the Ebonyi State Community Based Social Development Agency’s (EB-CSDA) efforts to reduce poverty in rural communities .

 With their commitment to working with the state government and traditional rulers, the Association of Ebonyi State Town Union Presidents is poised to make a positive impact on the lives of Ebonyi State residents.
