Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to deliver seamless administrative support to the Reward and Recognition unit of the Human Resources department, ensuring effective implementation of compensation-related processes and compliance with relevant organizational and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day assistance in managing core compensation and recognition programs, including but not limited to short-term and long-term incentive schemes, salary adjustments, benefits processing, and employee appreciation initiatives.
- Facilitate compliance with organizational policies and external regulatory frameworks concerning employee compensation and benefits.
- Maintain accurate and organized physical and electronic records of remuneration and reward-related data.
- Execute tasks related to onboarding, such as gathering relevant documents from prospective hires and scheduling medical assessments.
- Notify relevant departments of new employee resumption dates and any updates to current employee profiles.
- Assist new staff members during onboarding with documentation, form completion, and data capture processes.
- Support monthly payroll cycles by helping with document preparation, including scanning, copying, and verifying staff resumption details.
- Draft and manage HR documents including job offers, promotion letters, job rotation memos, exit communications, and bank or pension-related correspondence.
- Provide administrative and logistical assistance for the MTNN Employee Retirement Scheme (ERS), including board meetings and early retirement benefit processes.
- Support the employee offboarding process by communicating with banks and stakeholders, retrieving or settling company property, and ensuring accurate final payments.
- Prepare routine HR reports as directed (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.).
- Perform any other HR administrative tasks or projects assigned by the Reward Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Background:
- A Bachelor’s or Higher National Diploma (BSc/HND), ideally in a numerate or business-related discipline.
Language Proficiency:
- Must be fluent in English (written and spoken).
Professional Experience:
- 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in a small to medium-sized business setting.
- Previous experience in Compensation & Benefits, Payroll Management, or roles requiring strong financial/business acumen will be an added advantage.
