Movements in Kogi, Bayelsa, Imo Restricted ahead Nov 11 election – IGP

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has directed restrictions on vehicular movement in Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo states during the governorship elections on November 11, 2023.
At a press conference in Abuja, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi said the restriction would be enforced from 12 am to 6 pm on Saturday in the three states.
Adejobi clarified that individuals providing essential services would be exempted from the movement restriction on election day.
Others exempted from the restrictions are service providers such as INEC officials, accredited electoral observers, ambulances responding to medical emergencies, firefighters, and the media.
According to the Force PRO, the move is part of the policeās efforts to create a safe and conducive environment for the election.
