Makurdi Youths Nab Notorious Criminal, Anini During Downpour

Youths from the Yaikyo community in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, have apprehended a suspected notorious criminal known as Anini at a local supermarket.
The arrest took place on the night of Thursday, June 26, 2025, amid a heavy downpour at Agbatse Supermarket, situated behind Jesical Filling Station in the Yaiko area of the city.
The operation was carried out by the Yaikyo community security team under the leadership of the youth leader, Mr. Frank Igbakua.
Following the arrest, the suspect was promptly handed over to Operation Zenda, a special unit of the Nigeria Police Force, for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Residents commended the vigilance and courage of the youths, describing the incident as a significant step towards curbing criminal activity in Makurdi and surrounding areas.
