Lagos Fire Service Trains Corps Members on Fire Safety in Orientation Camp

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service has concluded its in-camp sensitization for Lagos State corps members currently undergoing Orientation Course in Iyana-Ipaja, on fire hazards in the home.

Chief Fireman Akanni Bosede while addressing the corps members, explained that carelessness is a major cause of fire outbreaks and implored them to see fire safety as their responsibility.

The Fire Service officials at the sensitization led by SFS Agunbiade A., instructed the corps members on safety precautions to be taken in the case of a fire outbreak such as raising an alarm, evacuation, calling the Fire Service and a roll call to ensure no one is trapped in a building.

The training which included practical demonstrations on the use of extinguishers for different fire outbreaks, was to ensure adequate sensitization and equip the corps members on their role in managing fire hazards in their various homes.
