The 9-day Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development program is set to begin tomorrow in all NYSC Orientation Camps nationwide.

In preparation for this, Emmanuela Arukwe, the Managing Director of NNPC Foundation, held a virtual meeting with corps members via Zoom. During the meeting, she discussed important topics related to self-reliance such as budgeting, saving, project management, and more.

The Managing Director of the NNPC Foundation, Emmanuela Arukwe, formed a partnership with the NYSC Kudimata in August of this year to empower Nigerian youths with the necessary knowledge on financial literacy. The objective is to help them make informed business decisions and provide start-up resources. According to her, tests will be conducted for corps members on the subject matters, and only qualified individuals will be empowered.

According to the Managing Director, Emmanuela Arukwe, “NNPC is delighted to provide access to start-up resources and opportunities to ensure that our teeming youths achieve their dreams of self-actualization.”

Also, the Chief Executive Officer, Kudimata, Kathleen Erhimu, added, “We have identified the urgent need to form value-adding alliances to support the National Youth Service Corps SAED program (Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurial Development) through financial education, business advisory, and empowerment initiatives.”

The NYSC Lagos held a sensitization rally in the camp to reinforce the message to the corps members and create awareness about the programme’s commencement tomorrow. The rally was led by the State Coordinator, Mrs. Yetunde Baderinwa, the Camp Director, Mrs Stella Nweke, who is an Assistant Director of the SAED Branch in the State, and the Head of the SAED Committee on Camp, Mr Gabriel Unachukwu.
