Governor Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru of Ebonyi State have congratulated Former Governor Martin Nwanchor Elechi as he marks his 83rd Birthday.

According a statement published on Governor Nwifuru’s Verified social media handles, described ex-governor Elechi as icon of human capital development and value.

“Your Excellency, we are eternally grateful to God Almighty for the gift of life and wisdom He imbued you with. “

“It is with these gifts, that you left unerasable legacies in human capital development, eliminated truancy and indiscipline in our civil service and successfully entrenched value for time in the context of work ethics. This earned you the sobriquet, Ochudo Time.”

He praised the former governor’s outstanding leadership credentials and achievements while recalling his commendable service to the state as both Governor and one of the founding fathers.

“As one of our foremost founding fathers, you fought doggedly to liberate Ebonyi people from the shackles of deprivation and social neglect. Also, as former Governor we will continue to celebrate you for your landmark achievements, especially for linking communities who were hitherto separated from their kits and kins with Bridges of Unity” he added.

The Governor listed Elechi’s records of infrastructure development, including unity bridges across the state, Education and other numerous achievements.

“On this special day of your life, we pray for God’s continuous blessings of sound health and mind to offer counsel, critical in navigating the complexities of governance for the greater good of all. 6. Happy birthday to a truly inspirational leader per excellence in politics, who has certainly earned a place in the history of our dear State” He prayed.
