Gear up for Effective Service Delivery, NYSC Charges Corps Members

The 2024 Batch B stream two Corps members at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp,Lagos have been geared up on effective service delivery.

Maria Ajiboye, Assistant Director/ Head Servicom and Gender Desk Unit made the call while sensitizing them on their right to receive prompt attention from officials.

She said Servicom is all about effective and prompt service delivery to all stakeholders.

She added that the initiative was aimed at improving service quality both inside and outside the camp. “See something, say something, and do something,” she said.She equally encouraged corps members to actively participate in enriching their NYSC
experience.

The lecture also acknowledged the historical significance of the Presidency’s program introduced during the former President Obasanjo’s administration.

Emphasizing the importance of collaboration, she referred to both corps members and officials as “customers,” explaining the need for effective communication and meeting customer’s satisfaction.

In addition, she outlined several Servicom-related improvements, such as providing free snacks, ensuring security, and supplying uniforms through the Presidency and NYSC Publications.

Corps members are also urged to evaluate NYSC services and suggest improvements, with the expectation that they will continue to apply Servicom principles even after the orientation program.

Ajiboye expressed that Servicom initiative was introduced to make camp life better for everyone, including Corps Members and the NYSC officials. “With corps members now being involved in Camp administration, the environment might become a more enjoyable place”.
