Ex-Rep Member, Honourable Peter Ede, previously affiliated with the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and Labour Party (LP), has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in a notable political move.

Mr Ede’s transition was marked by a ceremony yesterday at the office of the state APC chairman, Hon Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, in Abakaliki.

During the event, Chief Emegha warmly welcomed the Ex-Rep member and his supporters to the APC fold, praising their decision and emphasizing the party’s commitment to providing equal rights and privileges to all members.

In his statement, the Ex-Rep member, Mr.Ede expressed admiration for the effective leadership demonstrated by the APC-led government in the state, affirming his unwavering loyalty to the party and decisively severing ties with his former PDP affiliation.

The switch in allegiance signifies a significant shift in political dynamics within the Ezza North/Ishielu constituency, potentially impacting future electoral outcomes and solidifying the APC’s position in the region.

As political alignments continue to evolve, the move by Mr Ede underscores the fluid nature of Nigerian politics and the importance of strategic alliances in achieving political goals.
