Everton sacks manager, Sean Dyche
Everton have parted ways with manager Sean Dyche after a tenure of less than two years.
The club announced on its official website hours before their FA Cup third-round clash against League One side Peterborough.
The sacking also saw the departure of four members of Dyche’s backroom staff, including Assistant, Ian Woan, first-team coach Steve Stone, and goalkeeping coach Billy Mercer.
”Everton Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as Senior Men’s First Team Manager with immediate effect, Ian Woan, Steve Stone, Mark Howard and Billy Mercer have also left the Club”.
”The process to appoint a new manager is under way and an update will be provided in due course” The statement adds.
Everton’s recent 1-0 loss to Bournemouth, where they failed to register a single shot on target, marked a low point in a season that has seen only three wins in 19 league matches.
