Dele Momodu Says Wike Is Untouchable Because Tinubu Backs Him, Dares Him to Join APC

Publisher of Ovation International Magazine, Dele Momodu, has explained why FCT Minister Nyesom Wike appears untouchable in the current political landscape.
Speaking during an interview on Arise TV Wednesday night, Momodu claimed Wike enjoys strong backing from President Bola Tinubu, which gives him considerable influence. However, he added that Wike would never formally defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC), as doing so would diminish his authority.
“If you have Tinubu behind you, you will be powerful. I dare Wike to join the APC tomorrow,” Momodu said. “He cannot. Because for him, it is better to reign in hell than to serve in heaven. He’s a don in the PDP.”
Momodu also suggested that Wike’s persistent anger stems from his failure to secure both the presidential and vice-presidential tickets of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“Just because Wike lost the presidential and vice-presidential bids, he has become inconsolable. I say this every time I speak about him,” he stated. “He has this anger. He cannot forgive.”
The media mogul’s remarks add to the ongoing debate over Wike’s political stance and his relationship with both the PDP and the ruling APC.
