After actress Sarah Martins suggested that the restaurant associated with him should have been named after Chioma, Davido’s fiancée, rather than himself, he quickly stepped in to set the record straight. Responding under a blog post, he commented, “U just open ur mouth waaahhh… I didn’t open any restaurant… it was a campaign with a food court for my album 5.”

Sarah Martins had previously expressed her opinion on social media, arguing that if there was a restaurant involved, it would have made more sense to name it after Chioma, highlighting her love for cooking and how she deserved the recognition. She seemed to imply that the restaurant should be more connected to Chioma rather than Davido himself.

However, in his reply, he clarified that there was no actual restaurant launched. Instead, what took place was a promotional campaign that included a food court as part of the marketing strategy for his album titled “5.” His comment aimed to correct any misconceptions spreading online about the nature of the event.

By emphasizing that the food court was part of a marketing effort rather than a permanent restaurant, he distanced himself from the idea that he had opened a restaurant and sought to calm the speculation that had arisen from Sarah Martins’ comment. This detailed clarification helped clear up the misunderstanding for fans and followers who had been following the discussion.
