Can Tinubu Heed Chikwere’s Advice and Save the Day?

Mr. Godfrey Chikwere, a veteran journalist and Manager of Legacy FM Abakaliki, has offered words of wisdom to President Bola Tinubu on how to handle the planned protests and underlying issues affecting the nation.
In a social media post, Chikwere shared his thoughts on what he would do if he were in Tinubu’s shoes.
“I will stop Wike from addressing any issue concerning the planned protest. He speaks like an enemy of the president and the problem of the people.”
Chikwere also emphasized the need for leadership dexterity, stating, “It is leadership dexterity and not weakness.
” It is now about hunger and the pandemic of empty pockets and not South, East, North, west or APC, PDP, LP or NNPP.”
He further advised Tinubu to avoid engaging with the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), which he described as “the upcoming corruption industry” and “a breeding ground for bad leadership.”
Instead, Chikwere suggested that Tinubu should “lobby governors to address their state” and “address the youth by hosting online interactions.”
The veteran journalist also stressed the importance of compassion and empathy in leadership, saying, “What Nigerians need now is food, water, energy, and compassion in words and action, not confrontation.”
