Ben Murray-Bruce predicts Davido will become Governor of Osun State

Former Bayelsa East senator and media entrepreneur Ben Murray-Bruce strongly believes that Afrobeats megastar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, could one day become the Governor of Osun State.
In a recent episode of his “Common Sense” series, Murray-Bruce highlighted Davido’s strong political heritage and personal interest in governance.
“David Adeleke, the global phenomenon better known as Davido, is undeniably an international artist and a true Nigerian superstar. He stands as one of Nigeria’s most valuable cultural exports. However, beneath the surface of this music icon lies a side that many may not be aware of,” Ben Murray-Bruce said.
The former senator revealed that Davido, in a private conversation, described himself as a “political animal” with well-defined ideological leanings. According to Murray-Bruce, this shouldn’t come as a surprise, given the prominent political role of the Adeleke family in Osun State.
Davido’s uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke, is the current Governor of Osun State, while another uncle, the late Isiaka Adeleke, served as the state’s governor during the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida.
“Considering all of these, the thought that Davido himself could one day aspire to become the Governor of Osun State seems more like a potential trajectory. Especially if his political inclinations are nurtured and strategically channelled,” Murray-Bruce added.
“Davido, if you run, I predict you will win,” he concluded confidently.
