The selection process for the Corps Camp Directors for the 2024 Batch “A” Stream II Orientation Camp has concluded, with three corps members emerging to lead the charge.

THE ESSENCE OF THE CAMP DIRECTORS 

Mrs. Yetunde Baderinwa, the State Coordinator of NYSC Lagos, emphasized the importance of selecting corps members with a strong commitment to service and the ability to navigate conflicts and solve problems on the spot. 

She highlighted qualities such as dedication, readiness, and exceptional communication skills as prerequisites for the role.

THE PRONOUNCEMENT OF THE SELECTED DIRECTORS 

Following presentations by each Platoon leader, the Chief Judge announced the results, showing the three chosen Corps Camp Directors: Aisosa Idiaghe (LA/24A/6664), a Petroleum Engineering graduate from the University of Benin; Afolabi Zoe (LA/24A/5851), a software engineer from Babcock University; and Olusoga Oreoluwa Sapphire (LA/24A/5851), an Industrial Relations and Personnel Management graduate from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye.

CHARGE BY CAMP DIRECTOR

Camp Director Mrs. Itohan Ehimwenma encouraged Corps members to leverage their leadership qualities responsibly, urging them to uphold discipline and assist others in doing the same.

Similarly, Camp Commandant Major I.M Ibrahim stressed the importance of leading by example and maintaining discipline throughout the camp duration.

EXEMPLARY CONDUCTS 

Reflecting on the character of the Corps members, Resident Officer Comrade Haruna Habib referenced a recent incident where a missing iPhone was found and returned by a Corps member, highlighting the camp’s positive environment and the commendable behavior exhibited by its participants.
