Baderinwa Urges NYSC Officials to Make a Positive Impact
The Lagos State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs. Yetunde Baderinwa, has charged officials to make a conscious effort to positively impact the lives of corps members deployed to the state.
Speaking at the inaugural meeting for the 2024 Batch “B” Stream I Orientation Course, Baderinwa urged officials to be patient and calm when dealing with corps members from diverse backgrounds. She emphasized the importance of correcting any misbehavior with love and understanding.
The goal of the orientation, according to Baderinwa, is to welcome corps members and make them feel comfortable while implementing the orientation course successfully. She encouraged officials to work together as a team and avoid altercations.
The Camp Director, Mrs. Oluwakemi Awolola, also emphasized the need for emotional intelligence when dealing with corps members. She tasked officials to give a good first impression and handle corps members in a friendly manner.
Awolola also stressed the importance of sensitizing corps members on personal hygiene and maintaining a drug-free camp. The Camp Commandant, Captain Olusegun Ijimakinwa, assured officials of the readiness of security agencies to ensure a safe and successful orientation course.
The 2024 Batch “B” Stream I Orientation Course has commenced with the theme “Positive Mindset; An Effective Tool for Positive Outcome.”
