- Must be a citizen of, or have been granted refugee status by, a Commonwealth country that is eligible for the program. British Protected Persons are also eligible to apply.
- Must be permanently residing in a developing Commonwealth country.
- Must hold an undergraduate degree with a minimum of upper second-class honors (2:1). In certain cases, candidates with a lower qualification but significant and relevant professional experience may still be considered.
- Must demonstrate financial need, indicating that they would be unable to pursue the program without the support of this scholarship.
Scholarship Coverage
The Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship includes:
- Full coverage of tuition fees for the approved distance learning program.
- Additional study-related grants may also be provided, depending on individual circumstances and program requirements.
Required Documentation
Applicants must submit the following documents as part of their scholarship application:
- Proof of Citizenship or Refugee Status
- A copy of a valid passport or national identification card clearly showing a photo, date of birth, and nationality.
- Academic Transcripts
- Official transcripts from all post-secondary education, including current coursework if applicable. These must be complete, legible, and accompanied by certified English translations if the original documents are in another language.
- References
- Two professional or academic references. These should be submitted as PDFs, signed, and printed on official institutional letterhead. If sent by email, the referee’s contact information must be clearly visible.
Note: Incomplete or missing documentation will render the application ineligible.
