APC National Executive Council Meeting Set for July 24 Amid Leadership Transition

The APC National Executive Council Meeting has been officially scheduled for July 24, 2025, marking a significant moment for Nigeria’s ruling party as it navigates a fresh leadership phase. In a post on its verified X handle, the All Progressives Congress (APC) urged all NEC members to take the notice seriously, in line with Article 12.3 of the APC constitution.

According to ASIWAJU MEDIA, Article 12.3 specifies that the APC National Executive Council Meeting shall comprise the National Chairman, Deputy National Chairmen (North and South), National Secretary, and other key officials.

This development follows the resignation of Umar Ganduje as the party’s National Chairman last Friday. Subsequently, Ali Bukar Dalori, who was the Deputy National Chairman (North), was appointed Acting National Chairman and formally assumed duty on Monday.

Ganduje, who hailed from the North-West zone, took over the APC leadership in August 2023 after the exit of Abdullahi Adamu from the North-Central zone. With this transition, Dalori has assured party members of his commitment to leading with transparency, inclusiveness, and a focus on unity.

Speaking ahead of the APC National Executive Council Meeting, Dalori emphasized his readiness to collaborate with NEC members as partners to uphold the party’s discipline and direction. He appealed to all stakeholders to prioritize the collective goal of delivering good governance to Nigerians and strengthening internal democracy within the party’s structures.

As the date for the APC National Executive Council Meeting draws closer, party faithful are keen to see how the new leadership will steer the APC towards stability and renewed purpose.
