ANAMBRA 2025: Sir Paul Chukwuma Joins Governorship Race

Ahead of the 2025 Governorship election in Anambra State, former National Auditor of the All Progressives Congress APC, Sir Paul Chukwuma, has joined the governorship race in the state.


The Pro-Chancellor of Olivia University, Burundi, noted that the state is tired of playing regional politics, adding that time has come for the state to join the centre.

While Addressing journalist on Saturday at Umueri, Anambra East local government area of the state, Chukwuma, said, the time to fix Anambra state by the APC had come.


According to him, he  had identified some of the challenges facing the state which the past regimes of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) were blind to see.

Chukwuma, said he had set aside plans to resolve the challenges facing Anambra APC, emphasising the need for unity within the party.


He noted that the erosion problems bedeviling the state could not be handled without the federal government intervention, stressing the need for APC to control Anambra from 2025.
 
The pro-chancellor pledged that he would support any person that emerged victorious during the party primaries if he failed to grab the ticket, but maintained that the primaries must be free and fair.


He stated that the party needed an intellectual candidate who could appeal to the elites, grassroots, entrepreneurs and academia, a quality he stated that he possessed sufficiently.

One of the chieftains of the party in the state C J Chinwuba, described Chukwuma as one of the pillars of APC in Nigeria, adding that with someone like him, the party was good to go in 2025.
