Amaechi Blasts Tinubu: Says Nigerians Now Long for Buhari’s Return
Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has declared that he never considered President Bola Tinubu fit to lead Nigeria.
Amaechi made this remark on Wednesday during the unveiling of the interim executive committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Abuja.
The former Rivers State governor further claimed that many Nigerians are now yearning for the return of Tinubu’s predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari.
“I have never believed that Tinubu is the right material to govern the country,” Amaechi said.
“I have never. Because now, people want (Muhammadu) Buhari to come back. People are asking for Buhari because things were better during his administration.”
Amaechi served in Buhari’s cabinet and ran against Tinubu in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries.
