AE-FUNAI SUG President-elect Pledges All-Inclusive Administration

The President-elect of the Student Union Government (SUG) at Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo, AE-FUNAI , Ezeh Johnpaul Makuochukwu, has affirmed his commitment to leading an all-inclusive administration that nurtures a strong Students-Management relationship within the University.
In a recent interview with Asiwaju Media, the President-elect, popularly known as Aluta Juggernaut, outlined his vision and specific goals for his upcoming tenure.
He expressed his primary objective of improving the overall student experience at AE-FUNAI by creating a conducive academic environment that promotes learning, personal development, and student well-being.
“As the newly elected AE-FUNAI SUG President, I have a clear vision and specific goals for my tenure,” he stated.
“Building a productive relationship with the university administration is crucial for addressing student concerns and enhancing the overall student experience.”
To achieve these goals, he outlined several collaborative measures with the administration, including establishing regular meetings with university officials, maintaining open and constructive communication, and advocating for policies that enhance the student experience.
“ I will maintain open and constructive communication with the administration. By articulating students’ needs and concerns effectively, we can work together to find practical and feasible solutions”.
“I will actively advocate for policies that enhance the student experience. This may include proposing changes to existing policies, advocating for improved campus facilities, and ensuring that student concerns are taken into account during decision-making processes” he added.
The President-Elect emphasized his commitment to working closely with the University Management to ensure students have access to quality education. He pledged to advocate for improved teaching methods, academic support services, and an updated curriculum aligned with current industry standards.
“I will work closely with the university administration and faculty to ensure that students have access to quality education. This includes advocating for improved teaching methods, academic support services, and an updated curriculum that aligns with current industry standards”.
In addition to academic concerns, he addressed student welfare, prioritizing issues such as accommodation, healthcare, and campus safety. He pledged to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to improve living conditions on campus and meet students’ basic needs.
“I will prioritize the welfare of the student body by addressing issues such as accommodation, healthcare, and campus safety. I will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to improve the living conditions on campus and ensure that students’ basic needs are met”.
The President-elect also vowed to uphold open-door policies and transparency in the Union’s daily activities. He encouraged students to approach him with questions, suggestions, or concerns.
“I will maintain an open-door policy, encouraging students to approach me with their questions, suggestions, or concerns. This accessibility will foster a sense of trust and transparency between the student body and the SUG” he reiterated.
To keep the student body informed, he proposed organizing public meetings for direct engagement, where students can receive progress reports and provide feedback.
He promised transparency in financial matters, maintaining detailed records accessible to the student body and providing regular reports on the SUG’s financial activities, including income, expenses, and budget allocations.
