AE-FUNAI Sends First Batch of Graduates to Nigerian Law School

The pioneer students of the Faculty of Law, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State have been admitted into the Nigerian Law School for their Bar Part-2 programme.

The 18 pioneer students were admitted to study Law in the university in the 2019/2020 academic session; nevertheless 15 of them have been admitted into the Law School having graduated from the university in flying colours.

While commending the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Sunday Elom for his enormous support to the faculty which facilitated the seamless graduation of the students within the stipulated time, the Dean, Faculty of Law, Professor Eseni Azu Udu noted that the students have been offered admission into the Nigerian Law School, and have subsequently been posted to various campuses of the School in the country.

The Vice-Chancellor, recalling with nostalgia, stated that on his assumption of office, he declared a state of emergency on the Law programme, ensuring that all the necessary facilities like moot court, library and office equipment were not only provided for the faculty but also ensured that they met global best standard.

Professor Elom maintained that his administration’s sold-out commitment to the faculty ensured that the programme received the approval of the Council of Legal Education and the full accreditation of the National Universities Commission in the first asking, adding that the programme has become one of the flagships of the university under his watch
