Adeboye to Lead National Prayers for Nigeria’s Economic Recovery

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, will spearhead a nationwide prayer session aimed at reviving Nigeria’s struggling economy.

The special intercession is scheduled to take place during the RCCG’s July 2025 thanksgiving service, themed “Divine Intervention,” at the church’s national headquarters in Oyingbo, Lagos.

Announcing the programme through his Special Assistant on Administration, Pastor Dele Balogun, Adeboye acknowledged the severe hardship facing the country but stressed that it can be overcome with faith and decisive action.

“Our nation, Nigeria, as well as other nations of the world, are going through a challenging time. However, the good news is that these challenges are surmountable by faith if we do not entertain doubt,” he said.

He urged Nigerians to reject negative confessions and embrace faith-driven thinking as a catalyst for progress, expressing confidence that God can reverse the nation’s economic downturn.

According to Adeboye, the prayer initiative is intended to ignite national transformation and unlock “divine opportunities” for economic restoration.

Also speaking on the event, Pastor Olusegun Macaulay, Assistant Pastor in Charge of Province 1, noted that divine opportunities often manifest through God’s intervention and benefit those who are spiritually attuned.

Macaulay disclosed that a dedicated prayer team is interceding for the nation throughout the second half of the year, with a focus on the economy, environmental issues, and national stability.
