Actor Yul Edochie Urges President Tinubu to Reinstate Cashless Policy

Popular Nollywood actor and self-styled traditional pastor, Yul Edochie, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to reintroduce the cashless policy implemented under the previous administration.
In a statement shared on his social media platforms, Edochie described the policy as an effective economic measure that strengthened the naira and curbed insecurity.
“When it was introduced by the previous administration, it increased the value of the naira tremendously,” he wrote. “It helped to bring down prices of goods and made 5 naira, 10, 20, and 50 naira notes regain value.”
According to the Asabawood star, the cashless initiative also contributed to reducing the prevalence of kidnapping across the country by limiting the flow of physical cash.
Edochie concluded his appeal by urging President Tinubu to “consider it again,” expressing confidence that its return would positively impact the economy and improve security nationwide.
