23-year Old Man remanded for killing father

A 23-year old boy, Saidi Musa Elemosho has allegedly macheted his father Chief Musa, the Elemosho of Share land in Ifelodun Local Government of Kwara State to death.
The defendant Saidi was dragged before Magistrate Muhammed Dauki for the offence of culpable homicide punishable with death.
The Police First Information Report (FIR) revealed that Saidi’s claim his father was verbally abusive to him without reason .
Saidi, reportedly got angry as a result of his father’s unpleasant words and attacked him with a machete on the head severally till he died and later escaped to the mountain.
The Police Prosecutor, Sargent Abdullah Sanni, informed the court that the matter is not bailable considering the fact that it’s culpable homicide.
He urged the court to consider the motion exparte attached to the FIR and remand the defendant’s in the correctional facility .
In his ruling Magistrate Dasuki, ordered Saidi’s to be remanded in correctional service and adjourned the matter to January, 9th 2024.
