Self-care habits are little things you do to take care of yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally. Just like brushing your teeth or washing your face, self-care helps you stay healthy and feel your best.

Here are 10 examples of self-care habits: 

1. Healthy eating:

Your body is like a garden, nurturing and watering it will produce plenty of harvest. So is your body, filling your plate with colorful fruits, veggies, and whole grains gives your body the nutrients to stay healthy. 

2. Regular exercise: 

Exercising regularly has proven to produce endorphin flow that can help subdue pain, lower stress, improve mood, and enhance your sense of well-being. 

3. Getting enough sleep: 

Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep per day. You can Create a bedtime routine, like reading or taking a warm bath, to signal to your body it’s time to wind down.

4. Spending time with loved ones: 

Spend time with loved ones who make you laugh and feel supported. Share a meal, play games, or just chat – good company is like sunshine for the soul.

5. Doing things you enjoy: 

Make time for activities that you find relaxing and fun. These could include reading, listening to music, spending time in nature, or taking a warm bath. You deserve it. 

6. Practice gratitude: 

Take a moment each day to appreciate the good things in your life, big or small. Write them down, say them out loud, or simply savor the feeling.

7. Be kind to yourself:

We all make mistakes, that’s okay! Forgive yourself, learn from it, and move on. Treat yourself with the same kindness you’d show a friend.

8. Take breaks from technology:

Especially before bed. Put your phone away, turn off the TV, and give your brain some space to recharge.

9. Hydrate frequently:

Water is your best friend! Keep a reusable bottle by your side and sip throughout the day. Your skin will thank you for the glow.

10. Seeking help: 

If you’re struggling with your mental or emotional health, don’t be afraid to seek professional help. A therapist can provide you with support and guidance.
