“NYSC Camp: A Cherished Heritage of Ours” – Monarch
The Owa Ale Adimula of Ikareland, His Royal Majesty Oba (Barr) Adefemi Adegbite has declared that NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp is one of the treasured heritage of the ancient town.
The revered monarch made the declaration in his palace when he had in audience the new NYSC Ondo State Coordinator, Mr. Samuel Amaramiro Pepple.
The royal father promised that his domain will continue to protect the corps members as well as other personnel working with the Scheme.
He prayed that as his predecessors succeeded, he would succeed and that regret will not be his portion as he strives to nurture the Nigerian graduate youths to becoming great citizens of this country.
Speaking earlier, the State Coordinator, Mr. Samuel Amaramiro Pepple said that he had come to pay homage and seek the royal father’s support for security and welfare of corps members.
“I thank you Your Royal Majesty for the tremendous support which you have always availed the Scheme in the past and I want to plead with you to help secure corps members posted to your domain as you have always been doing”.
He said that it was an aberration for someone to enter a town or community without first paying traditional homage to the owner of the place.
Pepple thanked the palace for the warm embrace accorded him, which according to him is a sign of the hospitality the Yorubas are known for and which the royal father symbolises.
