“How I was left  Stranded At Eko Hotels in 2019 ” – Ebonyi-Born Mc 

Popular Ebonyi-born Comedian and MC, Mc Walter, has shared his inspiring story of overcoming disappointment and achieving success.

In a post on his social media handle, Mc Walter recounted his experience on September 2, 2019, when he was supposed to perform at a show organized by his senior colleague, Ajebo, at Eko Hotel and Suite in Lagos.

“I left East (Ebonyi) to Lagos, got to Lagos that Saturday night around 7pm, and slept in a friend’s house at Ikorodu (mainland). Next morning, which is Sunday, is the show, so I left very early to Island Eko Hotel and Suite,” Mc Walter wrote.

However, his excitement was short-lived, as he was unable to perform due to an oversight by Ajebo.

“I couldn’t perform for the show because Ajebo didn’t remember to include my name in the list given to the stage manager… I was stranded because I couldn’t go back to Ikorodu that night.”

Despite the disappointment, Mc Walter’s friend, Bosah, offered him support and encouragement.

“Bosa was with me, giving me hope each time tears dropped from my eyes… He took this UNAWARE pictures of me around 4am and kept it all this while till 1st January this year.”

Fast-forward to the present, Mc Walter is now organizing his own shows and helping fellow artists from Ebonyi perform in Abuja and Lagos.

 “I am happy that on the 13th of April, 16 days to go, I will be taking some of my colleagues, both musicians, dancers, and comedians from Ebonyi to Abuja to perform for their first time… On the 31st of August, I will also host my show, Family Hangout, at Lagos State, same Eko Hotel.”

His upcoming show, Family Hangout with Mc Walter, is scheduled to hold on April 13 at Exclusive Serene Hotel, Wuye, Abuja.
