Veteran Nollywood actor , Amaechi Muonagor Passes Away at 62
Veteran Nollywood actor Amaechi Muonagor has passed away at the age of 62 after a prolonged illness.
This information was revealed on Sunday by social commentator Morris Monye through his X handle. It was reported that Muonagor was undergoing dialysis due to kidney failure..
Monye posted, “Deeply heartbroken by the news of Amaechi Muonagor’s passing.
“He was a talented Nollywood actor whose presence on our screens was truly masterful.
“We watched with concern as he battled health issues, offering whatever support we could to help him seek treatment in India.
“This tragic loss highlights the need for better healthcare in our country.”
Amaechi Muonagor’s legacy is immortalized through a remarkable filmography that spanned several decades, showcasing his versatility and unparalleled talent. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the inerasable mark he left on Nollywood.
This is coming weeks after Nigerians mourned popular Nollywood actor John Okafor, better known as Mr Ibu, who has died at the age of 62.
Muonagor, hailed from Idemili in Anambra and was born on August 20, 1962 and Some of the movies he featured includes, Taboo, Karishika, Living in boundage, Aki na Ukwa, Aki and Pawpaw and so many more
Due to his many talents, Amaechi was nominated for the prestigious AMVCA 2017 Best Actor in a comedy category.
