UK-Based Nigerian Woman Fatally Stabbed Days After Earning PhD

A UK-based Nigerian woman, Dr. Fortune Gomo, has tragically died just days after completing her PhD at the University of Dundee.
The news was shared in a post on X by Prince Adeshina, who revealed that Dr. Gomo was fatally stabbed in broad daylight while walking with her 10-year-old daughter.
According to the report, the incident occurred around 4:25 p.m. on South Road in Dundee. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and made efforts to save her, but she sadly passed away before she could be taken to the hospital.
Authorities have since arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the incident. An investigation is ongoing.
“May her soul rest in peace,” the post read.
