TVC Presenter Morayo Brown Posts Cryptic Message Amid Reactions to Peter Obi’s Public Appearance

TVC presenter Morayo Afolabi-Brown has stirred conversation online after sharing a cryptic message on Instagram, seemingly directed at President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the wake of a viral video showing Peter Obi serving food at an undisclosed public event.

In her post, Morayo wrote:

“Dear @officialasiwajubat,
Please allow him become president for 6 months while you take a leave of absence. Let’s even see what magic he wants to do. This desperation is rather sickening.”

Though she didn’t mention Peter Obi by name, many interpreted her statement as a jab at the former presidential candidate, who recently caused a stir on social media after being seen distributing food in what some viewed as a populist gesture.

While Obi’s supporters praised the act as one of humility and leadership by example, others criticized it as a calculated political move aimed at staying relevant ahead of the 2027 elections. Morayo’s message appears to reflect frustration with what she sees as performative politics and the intense rivalry still brewing long after the 2023 elections.

Her post has since triggered mixed reactions, with some applauding her for speaking candidly, while others accused her of undermining genuine efforts to connect with the public.
