Tragedy Strikes Liverpool Title Parade As Car Rams Into Celebrating Crowd

A day meant for celebration turned tragic on May 26, 2025, when a car drove into a crowd of Liverpool FC fans during the club’s Premier League title parade.
The incident happened around 6 p.m. on Water Street in Liverpool city center. According to eyewitnesses, the driver appeared to deliberately accelerate into the crowd, hitting several people before being stopped by bystanders.
Emergency services responded swiftly, setting up temporary treatment stations at the scene. Multiple injuries were reported. A 53-year-old white British man from the Liverpool area was arrested on the spot and remains in police custody.
