Speed Darlington Sparks Outrage After Admitting to Sexual Encounter with 15-Year-Old Girl in Lagos Hotel

During an Instagram Live session, Speed Darlington openly shared that he had sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl in a Lagos hotel.

He described the incident in detail, noting that the hotel bedsheets were stained with blood because the girl was a virgin. He mentioned paying N2,000 to have the hotel staff replace the soiled sheets.

In his local dialect, he stated: “I can’t imagine working in a hotel and cleaning bedsheets used by strangers. I recently slept with a 15-year-old girl at a hotel, and she stained the sheets with blood because she was a virgin. I had to pay N2,000 before they would change the sheets. It’s awkward to ask an adult to clean blood—blood I caused from a 15-year-old girl. I could never work for anyone; I only work for myself.”

This public confession has sparked widespread outrage on social media, particularly on X, with many Nigerians condemning Darlington, labeling him a pedophile, and demanding his arrest.

The backlash is driven by Nigeria’s general age of sexual consent, which is 18, though some legal variations, such as a lower age under the Penal Code Act in northern Nigeria, exist. The graphic nature of his account and the girl’s age have intensified public anger.
