Sanwo-Olu Encourages Corps Members To Leverage SAED Programme

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has stressed the importance of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in achieving financial independence and self-reliance.
He urged corps members to fully engage in the programme to equip themselves with essential skills for their future.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Abubakre Mobolaji Ogunlende, at the Swearing-in Ceremony of the 2024 Batch B stream II Corps members deployed to Lagos State, the Governor charged corps members to remain committed to camp activities, establish meaningful relationships, and obey camp rules and regulations.
The Lagos State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Yetunde Baderinwa, while congratulating the 2024 Batch B stream II corps members on their academic achievements, stated the significance of the scheme.

The state coordinator charged them to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the NYSC programme, strive to be the best, and contribute to nation-building and build their financial independence.
Two outstanding ex-corps members, Mr. Ugwuozor Augustine Obinna with state code LA/22C/5625 and Miss Ogbugo Esther Amarachi with state Code LA/22C/1988, were honored with the State Honors Award and a cash prize of ₦500,000 each for their remarkable contributions during their service year. Their projects included free medical outreaches, eye screenings, educational donations, and solar installations, demonstrating their commitment to community development and nation-building.
The event featured the administration of the oaths of allegiance on the 2,749 prospective corps members deployed to Lagos by the Chief Judge of Lagos State,who was represented by Hon. Justice Kudirat Jose.
The swearing in ceremony was attended by government functionaries, security operatives, and other stakeholders.
