The new State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Lagos, has paid a courtesy visit to the State Director, Department of State Services (DSS), in company of the outgoing State Coordinator, Mrs. Yetunde Baderinwa.
The visit was aimed to bring a smooth transition and strengthen the existing cordial relationship between the two organizations.
Mrs. Baderinwa expressed her gratitude for the security support and cordial relationship provided by the DSS during orientation courses and introduced Mrs. Salmwang to key officials of the organisation, amongst who were the Deputy Director of Security in charge of NYSC activities, Mr.Tola Balogun representing the Director, Mr. Adedapo Amoo.
The Deputy Director, welcomed Mrs. Salmwang, acknowledging the excellent relationship between the DSS and NYSC. He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration, encouraging both organizations to “work as a family”.
The Deputy Director of Operations,Mr S.A Sehun congratulated Mrs. Baderinwa on her new appointment as the Acting Director,General Services at the NYSC Directorate Headquarters and lauded the discipline imparted on representatives during orientation exercises, while Mr C.C Eche also a Deputy Director of Intelligence, appreciated the incoming and outgoing State Coordinators, wishing for a more sustainable relationship between the organizations.
In her remark, Mrs. Salmwang noted the essence of the DSS-NYSC partnership, stating that “without DSS/NYSC, we can’t achieve our mandate”.
She promised to continue the wonderful collaboration, thanking the DSS for its support and said she looks forward to a more robust working relationship.
