Rain or Shine, Medical Screening Goes On in NYSC Lagos Camp
In spite the unceasing downpour on Lagos today, NYSC Lagos, in conjunction with the Lagos State Ministry of Health, have continued to screen people into the NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja, in preparation for the 2024 Batch “B” Stream I Orientation Course commencing tomorrow.
The Lagos Ministry of Health have deployed health officials, along with a mobile van to ensure all entrants into the Camp are thoroughly screened to prevent communicable diseases in camp and to detect early, unfit camp participants for medical referral outside the camp.
Some of the medical screening being carried out are; Tuberculosis, Hepatitis, HIV/AIDs, Blood pressure, Blood sugar and others.
This measure is in line with the directive of the Director General of NYSC, Brigadier General YD Ahmed on the rules of engagement, and the standards of practice for Orientation Course exercise.
