Private jet overshoots runway in Ibadan
A private jet with registration number N580KR, CL60 aircraft from Abuja overshot the runway at 10:55am this morning at the Ibadan airport.
According to investigation, the incident occurred as a result of a break failure, with the jet overshooting Runway 22 and eventually coming to a standstill 170 metres from the end of runway 04, 60 metres from the threshold.
The aircraft operated by Mattini Air recorded no casualty
The aircraft had 15 persons onboard, comprising 12 passengers and 3 crew members.
Passengers were successful evacuated by the FAAN Airport Rescue, Fire Fighting Service and other relevant officers.
This incident is coming barely two months a similar incident occurred at the Ibadan airport involving a chartered aircraft, HS 125, belonging to Flint Aero at about 08:21pm when the pilot was about to land.
