Police Recover Human Breast, Rescue Kidnap Victim in Anambra

The Anambra State Police Command says it is intensifying efforts to sustain public safety through joint operations across the state, as it announced a string of arrests, rescues, and recoveries made in recent days.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, on Saturday, July 6, 2025.
In a shocking development, a 25-year-old man identified as Samuel Eze was arrested with a freshly severed female breast in his possession. According to the police, the arrest was made by a joint security patrol team made up of officers from the Awada Police Station and local vigilantes at about 3:30 p.m. on July 6 along Jude Onyekwere Street, Awada, Obosi.
“The Joint Security Team comprising Police attached to the Awada Police Station and Anambra Vigilante Operatives on patrol along Jude Onyekwere Street, Awada, Obosi on 6th July 2025 by 3.30pm arrested a male suspect, Samuel Eze aged 25 years with a woman’s breast. It was recovered immediately and deposited at the morgue for preservation, while the suspect is undergoing Police interrogations for necessary Police investigative actions and prosecution,” the statement read.
In another operation, officers from the Rapid Response Squad, acting on credible intelligence, rescued a kidnapped driver and recovered a truckload of custard powder worth N9.5 million. The incident occurred at around 12:45 p.m. on July 4, 2025.
Three suspects — Udegenyi Ugochukwu (38), Anayochukwu Okonkwo (47), and Good Odigili (47) — were arrested in connection with the kidnapping and confessed to abducting the truck driver, tying him up in a bush, and attempting to divert the goods to Enugwu Ukwu instead of its intended destination in Asaba, Delta State.
“The team also recovered a truck loaded with Custard powder worth N9,500,000 (Nine Million Five Hundred Thousand Naira) only and arrested three suspects involved in the criminal act,” Ikenga said. “The suspects… confessed that the goods were to be delivered to a Warehouse at Asaba, Delta State before they abducted the driver, tied him in the bush and diverted the goods.”
Additionally, the Command announced the recovery of a suspected stolen and abandoned Toyota Sienna minivan. The vehicle, custom-coloured and bearing the inscription “Forum of Accountants Delta State”, was found by officers on patrol from Obosi Division at about 4:30 p.m. on July 5 along Okpuno–Umuota Village, Obosi.
