NYSC Warns Corps Members Against Online Posting Vendors

Online Posting Vendors

Camp Director for the 2024 Batch “A” Stream II Course at the NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja, Mrs Itohan Ehimwema has advised Corps Members to avoid patronizing online posting vendors on matters of the scheme as posting and other services of the scheme are free.

The Camp Director stated this while delivering Corps Inspection and Monitoring lecture to sensitize Corps members on the operations of the scheme during the service year.

She noted that the CIM is the core branch in NYSC Secretariat to monitor all Corps members’ activities from the end of the Orientation Course till the end of the service year, adding that the CIM supervises the office of the field officers which are the Local Government Inspectors and the Zonal Inspectors.

According to her after Closing Ceremony of the Orientation Course, posting letters will be given to Corps members and the letter should be taken directly to their Place of Primary Assignments as everyday of the service year counts for the Corps members.

“Corps members should make sure they collect either Acceptance letter or Rejection letter and if they are genuinely rejected they would be posted to another establishment” Ehimwema added

The Camp Director, who is the Assistant Director of the Corps Inspection and Monitoring Branch of the NYSC Lagos Secretariat, also stated the channels of communication in which Corps members can reach out to the NYSC, which are; Local Government Inspectors, Zonal Inspectors to the Corps Inspection and Monitoring Branch.

She indulged the Corps members to make sure their monthly biometrics are done and should not in any way miss it which is why many Corps Members have extension of Service year. And if they would miss it, they should contact their LGI and failure to do so would amount to redoing the service year without the Orientation Course because their portal would automatically be shut down.
