NYSC Lagos Takes Health Initiatives To Obalende , Provides Free Medical Care To 308 Residents

The National Youth Service Corps in Lagos State has taken its quarterly Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers to Obalende Lagos, providing free medical care to 308 persons in the process.
The programme which is meant to give free medical care to rural people and people who cannot easily access medical care, drew into collaboration Ikoyi/Obalende Local Government, 81 Division Hospital and others to ensure the business-oriented and busy people of the environment were well attended to.

In a short remarks, State Coordinator NYSC Lagos, Mrs Yetunde Baderinwa, appreciated the people of the environment for coming out to access the health outreach, encouraging them to make efforts to visit the hospital and take their health seriously in their busy schedule.

In his goodwill of the Local Council, who was represented by the Chief of Staff of Ikoyi/Obalende Local Government, Mr. Taiwo Adebambo, appreciated the scheme for the various ways it has deployed the resources in its disposal to attend to the needs of its communities.
He described the programme as a laudable one which must be sustained. The 1-day programme attended to 308 persons, deploying 15 doctors, 10 Pharmacists, 8 Nurses, 6 Medical Laboratory Scientists, 6 Optometrists, 1 Dentist, 2 Anatomist and others.
