The Resident Officer deployed as the Monitor of the Camp has commended the administration of the camp, stating that officials are performing beyond expectations and optimally.
Meanwhile, the Steering Committee, the highest decision-making body of the Orientation camp met this evening, at the ongoing 2023 batch “C” Stream I Course at the NYSC Lagos Camp in Iyana-Ipaja.
In her opening remarks during the meeting, State Coordinator NYSC Lagos, Mrs Yetunde Baderinwa, congratulated the officials for the success of the first week, particularly for the conduct of the Swearing-In Ceremony of the corps members.
While appreciating the officials for working under less supervision, she urged them to continue holding their beats tenaciously and not lower standards. Hinting at the activities of the second week, she said as the course is progressing, events will be coming thick, she called on all officials to be on their toes, urging security operatives of the camp to tighten all loose nooses.
On her part, the Camp Director for the batch, Mrs. Stella Nweke, has urged the officials to not rest on their oars especially as activities are beginning to increase. She urged floor managers to augment the efforts of the security personnel, in keeping the corps members out of the hostels at the appropriate time.
She appreciated the State Coordinator for always offering support in assignments that proved difficult to surmount. The Steering Committee comprises all Heads of Committees, the Camp Director, and the Camp Commandant, as well as all monitors of the camp from the headquarters and the South West Area Office, chaired by the State Coordinator.
