NYSC Lagos Releases Over 5,000 Corps Members for Completion of Service Year
The National Youth Service Corps ,NYSC, in Lagos has announced the completion of service for over 5,000 Corps Members from the 2023 Batch “A” Stream II cohort.
A total of 5,785 Corps Members, comprising 2,058 males and 3,727 females, bid farewell to their service year on Thursday.
The Passing-out ceremony, conducted across various Local Government Areas of Lagos, featured the distribution of certificates under the supervision of NYSC officials.
Mrs. Yetunde Baderinwa, the State Coordinator of NYSC Lagos, oversaw the certificate issuance to 724 Corps Members at Ikeja Local Government Area.
During interviews, Corps Members expressed satisfaction with their service year, highlighting benefits such as networking opportunities, capital savings, and skill acquisition.
It’s worth noting that these Corps Members joined after the 2023 general elections.
 Mrs Adewale Florence, an officer from NYSC NDHQ, Planning, Research and Statistics, (PRS) and Mr Akeem Adewuyi from Southwest area office were on ground to monitor the exercise.
