Nollywood And Peter Obi Bid Emotional Farewell To Veteran Actress Nkechi Nweje In Anambra
The Nollywood community gathered in Anambra State to pay their final respects to veteran actress Nkechi Nweje, who was laid to rest in her hometown.
The funeral drew a large crowd of family, friends, and industry colleagues, including former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi.
Nweje, who died on March 21, 2025, made a significant mark on Nigerian cinema with her powerful performances in both traditional and modern roles.
She was especially celebrated for portraying strong, authoritative women—earning admiration not only for her acting prowess but also for her humility.
