New Corps Camp Directors Emerge at 2024 Batch “A” Stream I Orientation Course
Three Corps Camp Directors have been selected to play a crucial role in the administration of the Orientation Camp at the ongoing 2024 Batch “A” Stream I Orientation Course in Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos.
The emergence of the corps camp directors took place on Saturday morning.
The selection process involved ten (10) Platoon leaders who underwent a mini presentation focusing on diction, comportment, content, Platoon’s core values, and leadership skill records.
Among the impressive candidates, the three Corps Camp Directors were chosen based on their standout performances during the presentations.
The panel of judges responsible for the selection process was led by Mrs. Itohan Ehimwenma, the Head of Utility and Maintenance Committee. Other judges included Mrs. Stella Nweke, Head of Skill Acquisition, Mr. Charles Obiokala, Head of Sports & Games, and Mr. Solomon Ekah, the Head of Red Cross.
Okoeguale Esther Oseme, a graduate of English and Literature from the University of Lagos, emerged as the leader of Platoon 3 and one of the Corps Camp Directors. Joining her in this important role are Abraham Iwuh, an International Relations graduate from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and Akinleye Bolaji Victoria, a graduate of Management and Accounting from the same university.
Mrs. Yetunde Baderinwa, the State Coordinator of NYSC Lagos, emphasized their role as intermediaries between other Corps Members and Camp administrators.
She highlighted the directors’ crucial task of providing support to the management in running the camp and offering insights for effective service delivery.
The Camp Director of the Course, Mr. Kayode Osinubi, expressed his appreciation to the Corps Members who volunteered to lead. He urged them to exemplify leadership qualities throughout the course, emphasizing the importance of their role in maintaining a positive camp environment.
