NAOIS Adopts Constitution, Charts Path for Unity and Progress

The National Association of Okpuitumo Ikwo Students (NAOIS) has taken proactive steps towards solidifying its foundation with the public reading and adoption of its constitution at Fatilami Park, Abakaliki.
The well-attended event held on Sunday was chaired by renowned student leader Comrade Ekechi Nnamdi Joebliss, who featured a thorough review and adoption of the constitution as a working document for the association.
Convener of the meeting, Comrade Igboji Calister expressed his delight at the progress made by NAOIS, pledging to continue working tirelessly towards the association’s growth.
Comrade Alefia Friday James, Pioneer Coordinator of NAOIS, who initiated the association in 2020 with a few others, expressed pride in its development.
“I am proud to see the progress we have made since initiating this association in 2020 with a few others,”
He announced his commitment to sponsoring a statewide public awareness campaign through Radio Nigeria Unity FM Abakaliki for the upcoming NAOIS Annual Home Coming and First Election.

Comrade Ekechi, Chairman of the Constitutional Drafting Committee, emphasized the importance of unity, hard work, and lasting peace in achieving the association’s objectives.
The public hearing was attended by students of Okpuitumo Extractions cut across Post-secondary School institutions across Nigeria.
ABOUT NAOIS
The National Association of Okpuitumo Ikwo Students (NAOIS) was born out of a shared vision to unite and empower students from Okpuitumo Ikwo, a community in Ebonyi State, Nigeria.
In 2020, a group of visionary students, led by Comrade Alefia Friday James, Comrade Ekechi Nnamdi, Comrade Nwafor Samuel, Comrade Igboji Calista, Comrade Nweke Richard among other students from Okpuitumo Ikwo community recognized the need for a collective voice and platform to address the unique challenges and aspirations of Okpuitumo Ikwo students.
They envisioned an association that would foster unity, promote academic excellence, and provide support for its members.
With determination and passion, the pioneering team embarked on a journey to establish NAOIS after several meetings held at Central School Okpuitumo Ikwo .
They engaged with stakeholders, consulted with community leaders, and rallied like-minded students to join the cause.
The association’s foundation was built on the principles of unity, hard work, and lasting peace. Its mission was clear: to create a vibrant community of Okpuitumo Ikwo students who would support one another and strive for excellence.
