Monalisa Stephen Laid To Rest In Lagos Amid Tears And Tributes

Actress and body positivity advocate Monalisa Stephen was laid to rest on May 22, 2025, at Yaba Cemetery in Lagos, following a private funeral service.
The emotional farewell brought together family, friends, and colleagues from the entertainment industry to honor her life and legacy.
Monalisa passed away due to complications from low blood sugar and an intestinal hemorrhage, according to reports.
The ceremony was marked by tearful goodbyes and heartfelt tributes, many of which quickly circulated online.
Notable figures, including actress Toyin Abraham, mourned her loss, with Toyin describing Monalisa as a “bright soul taken too soon.”
The overwhelming outpouring of love and condolences highlighted the deep impact Monalisa had on her peers and fans alike.
