Former Ivorian international Kolo Toure has officially been appointed to Pep Guardiola’s coaching staff at Manchester City, the club’s press office confirmed.

The 44-year-old, who previously worked alongside the squad during the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, will now continue in that capacity as part of Guardiola’s backroom team.

His time at the club ended after just nine matches, but he now returns to familiar territory at City, where he once played alongside his younger brother, Yaya Toure.
